How to be 100% Sure You’re Going to Heaven!
The Bible says, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life…” (1 John 5:13)
FIRST, ACKNOWLEDGE THE CONSEQUENCES OF OUR SIN.
God’s word informs us all of what sin does to man’s relationship with God:
“But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” (Isaiah 59:2)
Sadly, our sin separates us from God in this life as well as in the afterlife (hell).
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)
“For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23a)
SECOND, ACKNOWLEDGE THE SACRIFICE OF JESUS CHRIST FOR US.
Because God is not willing for anyone to experience eternity without Him, Jesus died for us (2 Peter 3:9)
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b)
THIRDLY, ACCEPT GOD’S GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE BY FAITH.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
We simply need to ask God to save us from our sins, repent of our iniquity and believe in Christ’s sacrifice for us.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
