Are you strapped for cash? Are you having a hard time making ends meet? So, are you in need of a bailout? No, I am not asking about a financial bailout as helpful as that might be. Instead, I want you to consider a different kind of bailout which will bring far more lasting results.
Is it possible for anyone to have enough resources to pay the spiritual debt they owe?
It is important to understand that all of mankind is bankrupt spiritually. All have broken God’s law and have sinned. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” The Bible also states that all people are “…dead in trespasses and sins;” (Ephesians 2:1)
Because we have sinned, there is a penalty to face and that is death. The Bible says, “For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23) and “And as it is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgment:” (Hebrews 9:27) The time and means of death may be uncertain, but we know it is coming. It is important to be ready for this time.
But God offers hope and a bailout to people in need. This hope is found in Jesus Christ. God has shown how much He loves you by giving His Son, Jesus Christ to come into this world and give His life as payment for your sins. The Bible says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
There is Good News for every bankrupt soul. Your sin debt can be paid for you individually! God has made a way out for you personally. The Good News is that God raised Jesus from the dead. “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” (1 Corinthians 15:3,4)
Are you in need of a bailout from your sinful condition? Then turn from your sin and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Receive the free gift of salvation that has been provided. He will rescue you and save you when you call out to Him. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
If you will receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour and be ‘bailed out’ from your sinful condition then pray:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I deserve to pay my own sin debt, but I do believe that you died for me to pay the debt I owe and rose again. Today, I trust Jesus as my Saviour. Please save me and I will depend on you for my salvation. Amen.
